Date: Friday 31 July, 9am – Sunday 2 August, 6pm
Location: Showroom (Ground Floor) – Mountie, Mount Pritchard NSW, Australia
An extended 3-day long Vajrasattva Puja, led by His Eminence Ven. Dukung Gyaltsen Tulku Rinpoche, introduces participants to the powerful healing practice of Vajrasattva. Rinpoche is a revered senior teacher of the Karma Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
Attendees will engage in the meditative practice of Vajrasattva — a practice of purification and healing through meditating on Vajrasattva and recitation a mantra. This short urban retreat offers participants an opportunity to recharge and reconnect, with chants and daily guided meditation sessions.
The Vajrasattva practice helps tantric practitioners to purify their negative karmas, accumulated from beginningless times. Furthermore, the recitation of the hundred syllable mantra of Vajrasattva purifies negativities, repairs degenerated and broken vows and commitments.
Discover the rich heritage, sacred art, and living traditions of Tibetan Buddhism through chants, prayers, and the intricate art of torma (traditional ritual offerings). Throughout the weekend, visitors are warmly invited to make a light or flower offering to the Triple Gem—the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha—as a meaningful expression of respect while cultivating happiness, compassion, and healing for themselves and others. There will be time to see up close tormas created by our monastic sangha and auspicious opportunity to venerate sacred Buddha Relics.
The weekend concludes with the Vajrasattva Tsog (Offering), a traditional Buddhist feast ceremony led by the monastic sangha. This special gathering embodies the Buddhist values of generosity, compassion, and community, as blessed food offerings are shared with all attendees in a spirit of harmony, gratitude, and goodwill.
Texts and meditation cushions will be provided for all participants.
Free entry and onsite parking!
